Teacher Appreciation

Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS) is host to a number of schools without Parent-Teacher Organizations. In an effort to show appreciation to the teachers at those schools, the Albemarle Foundation for Education and the Family Council have collaborated to recognize and thank these educators during the 2026 Teacher Appreciation Week. The Family Council coordinated with schools to organize the celebration and provided handwritten thank you cards to substitute teachers. The AFE provided coffee and donuts and stocked the teachers’ break rooms full of snacks.
