Stony Point Elementary Outdoor Education Program

The Albemarle Foundation for Education is excited to support Stony Point Elementary School in their efforts to enrich K-5 curricula with opportunities for outdoor education! This pilot program, which will begin with the 2026-27 school year, will offer learning opportunities beyond the classroom walls for K-5 students to foster engagement and improve mental health. It will do so by using existing outdoor facilities and welcoming a new Outdoor Education Coordinator to integrate nature into Stony Point’s existing learning goals.
