Back to School Bash

The Back to School Bash, hosted by the Albemarle Foundation for Education in partnership with Albemarle County Public Schools, is an annual community event at Ting Pavilion that helps students start the school year prepared and supported. Students receive backpacks with essential school supplies and connect with local community partners. With music, food, games, and activities, the event brings families, educators, and organizations together in support of school readiness and community celebration.

The Back to School Bash is about more than distributing supplies, it helps students begin the year with confidence, supports families, and shows the community’s commitment to student success.

Join us Sunday, August 9, 2026 at the Fashion Square Mall (former JCPenney space) from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m!
